Hello bomberman, Apologies on a late response.
I installed Opera so I could see and I dont have any visible issues. I'm not an Opera user so i cant say for sure but have you tried adding a shadow exlude for opera to compton? Try
Code: Select all
# Shadow
shadow = true;
no-dnd-shadow = true;
no-dock-shadow = true;
clear-shadow = true;
shadow-radius = 7;
shadow-offset-x = -7;
shadow-offset-y = -7;
shadow-opacity = 0.5;
# shadow-red = 1.0;
# shadow-green = 0.0;
# shadow-blue = 0.0;
shadow-exclude = [
   "name = 'Notification'",
   "class_g = 'VirtualBox'",
   "class_g = 'Conky'",
   "class_g ?= 'Notify-osd'",
   "class_g = 'Cairo-clock'",
   "class_g = 'Opera'",
   "_GTK_FRAME_EXTENTS@:c"
];
# End Shadows

Hope this helps

Edit: I found the issue you're having, and this ^^ doesn't fix the problem.. will post back if i find a solution

After a bit I found adding this to the top of exlusions to work
Code: Select all
"! name~=''",

Like so
Code: Select all
shadow-exclude = [
    "! name~=''",
    "name = 'Notification'",
   "class_g = 'VirtualBox'",
   "class_g = 'Conky'",
   "class_g ?= 'Notify-osd'",
   "class_g = 'Cairo-clock'",
   "_GTK_FRAME_EXTENTS@:c"
];

i believe that is the issue he is referring to, or is that how opera is supposed to look :?
Either way if you did what i previously posted it makes all of the odd transparency go away,
the only issue the is that the root menu (the right-click) loses shadows
I have yet to find a solution for best of both worlds :(
Having issues finding anything on it tbh, but there is this

Bit off topic but I just read this about the opera browser over at the Manjaro forum.

Well, the Opera browser now belongs to a chinese venture called "Golden Brick Capital Private Equity Fund I Limited Partnership".
Source code is not available. https://www.engadget.com/2016/07/18/ope ... 0-million/

Thanks Guys for the answer . I have added this line "! name~=''", to shadow exclude and indeed shadows in opera was gone. But if you find another solution which don't have impact to root menu,please share with me. Root menu look so pretty with shadows :).
