(closed) Unable to boot the latest iso file

PostPosted by pourpier » Thu Apr 06, 2017 12:13 am

Hello mattdobson2001 !
I downloaded the latest iso file of ArchLabs from sourceforge. I created a new VM in VirtualBox and when I tried to boot I had the error failed to load ldlinux.c32. There was a message below the error to press any key to edit but unfortunately it didn't work. I went to the System tab in VirtualBox and i ticked the checkbox related to EFI in the advanced functions. I was able to boot but when I chose the first option of the boot menu which was related to the Archiso it started well until it complained about not being able to mount /dev/loop0 and that /sbin/init wasn't there. I was in a pure sh shell with rootfs at the left of the command prompt. Do you have instructions somewhere on your web site about installing this distro within a sh shell in an EFI environment ? Is it a bug ? Do you have an iso of ArchLabs that doesn't have the aforementioned error and that allows us to boot normally and correctly ? Len from the Don't Call Me Lenny ! YouTube site has asked about the error in a live stream of Sudo Reboot. I would appreciate if you could help. I am sure Len is going to make a great video if he can let it boot.
I can't arrive to the graphical installer.
Best regards,
pourpier
