Ok, about mocp and shift+t, the theme change only lasts one session, next time it is back to default. Think that is ok though, I can just change depending on my mood, or choice of music :twisted:

6" Pipes? Seriously? That would be the minimum to run from your house to the waste water here. That's crazy.

Well well, so far I must say that my +4 experience has been very good and smooth. No problems no hiccups no weird inexplicable wish wash. True enough, I do not tweak my systems in and out anymore, that always end with :o Over the years I focus more on making it to fit my needs and having a simple utilitary look that gets out of my way.

Good to have the excellent Arch wiki on speed dial though, without it I would be truly :?

Well, I BORKED ARCHLabs ... but not because of something I did in AL but because I mount it in BunsenLabs, which went quite well.

I copied a couple of conkys over to AL: ~/.config/conky/ to test them and then logged in to AL ... or tried to, I could not login.

In BL I figured that:
Code: Select all
sudo chown sector11:sector11 -R /media/AL-h

would be fine since sector11 here and sector11 there, right? WRONG!

Give it to S11, he ban break anything....
Now to reinstall. :lol: :lol: Gotta love Linux.

:D Good clean linux fun.
Did you know that the userid of the standard user is different in debian systems and archlabs (maybe in plain arch too, idk)?
Find out with
Code: Select all
echo $UID

On debian you get usually 1000, on archlabs 1001

So Sector11 on BL and Sector11 on AL are not the same person. Whereas Sector11 on BL and debian are the same.

Posted this over at BL today ... share the wealth ... er ... Suds.

Psalm of The Suds

Beer is my shepherd; I shall not thirst.
It maketh me to doze in wet streets:
It leadeth me to great urinals.
It restoreth my bravery:
It leadeth me to the paths of semi-consciousness for its name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of hops and barley,
I will fear no wine:
For thou art with me; thy foam and thy bubbles they comfort me.
Thou preparest a keg before me in the presence of MY STEIN:
Thou anointest my nights with snores; my stein runneth over.
Surely hiccups and burps shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I shall dwell in the House of Suds forever.

CHEERS!

Read this:
Now, as if everything else wasn't bad enough, we find out that beer isn't good for us? Beer contains female hormones! Yes, that's right, FEMALE hormones!

Last month, Montreal University scientists released the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. The theory is that Beer contains female hormones (hops contain Phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women.

To test the theory, 100 men each drank 8 large drafts of beer within a one (1) hour period.

It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects, yes, 100% of all these men:

1) Argued - over nothing;

2) Refused - to apologize when obviously wrong;

3) Gained - weight;

4) Talked - excessively without making sense;

5) Became - overly emotional;

6) Couldn't - drive;

7) Failed - to think rationally;

8) and Had - to sit down while urinating.

No further testing was considered necessary!

Send this to the men you know to warn them about drinking too much beer.

I rest my case...

Thanks Dobbie, got the Bunsen dark theme installed, just love the simplicity of it. So I am good for the moment. Had to set Adawita-dark in Lxappearance and Xfce4 Appereance, there were a couple of applications not showing right, Archive Manager and Catfish. Weird, like there were missing some gtk stuff. Hmmm, but ok now, and Adawita-dark is ok, nothing fancy, so it suits me fine. :geek:

Thanks to a couple of surprisingly calm days, combined with a skyfall of rain rain and more rain, I have had time to get to know this new guy Yoda. Pretty cool, and after a couple of whats! eeehs! and really? we get a long really well. Gave Yoda a new outfit, to go with the pale skin, put some new stuff into the tummy to help with the digestion, and now Yoda sings for me. :)

Team, now you can slow down a little bit, get a well earned rest, and do some family stuff before your better halfs lawyer up. ;)
